Qur’an Memorisation

Al-Rahma Centre

Amid the rubble, the voices of children memorising the Book of God

Since March 2026, Al-Rahma Centre has opened its doors as a refuge of another kind — a refuge for the heart and soul, where children and young people gather around the Book of God, memorising its verses in conditions never suited to memorisation, yet in greatest need of it.

Key achievements and activities

  • Printing and reviewing the juz’ of ‘Amma and Tabarak, with 150 juz’ recited and assessed.
  • Printing 50 copies of the Nuraniyah Primer for teaching the Qur’an.
  • Distributing incentives to all centre students twice weekly.
  • A shared iftar for all centre students on the Day of Arafah.
  • An Eid takbir procession through the camps, followed by an Eid gift for every student.
  • A recreational boat trip for the centre’s students.
  • A recreational and cultural activity bringing students together in a joyful atmosphere.
  • Awarding certificates of appreciation to students who passed the combined and individual juz’ examinations.
  • Social visits to a number of students.
  • A training course in the rules of tajwid for all teachers.
  • The centre did not stop at memorisation alone — it built a complete environment combining learning with joy, discipline with encouragement, and the Qur’an with the daily life of a displaced child.
